FCG World Series- Florida Championship

Future Champions Golf had a busy weekend with three events being held in two different states! The World Series Event Florida Championship was held at the Grand Cypress Golf Resort in beautiful Orlando Florida. The rolling undulations of the fairways, picturesque tee shots, and pristine greens provided an incredible scene for competitors to show just what they are made of.

The Boys 15-18 Division is the first to finish after two days of play. Artem Yalovenko from Moscow, Russia takes home the champions award after shooting 71-75 for a two day total of 146(+2). Finishish just behind Yalovenko is Mathieu LeBlanc from Westmount and Shiryu Oyo from Lake Mary, FL who both 149(+5) after two rounds. Shiryu Oyo would take second place after winning the card off with rounds of 75-74, while LeBlanc takes home the third place award for shooting 73-76. Card-offs are determined by comparing each players second day score, with the lower being the winner. The girls champion is Cosette Anderson from Windermere, FL after she shot 76-80 for a tournament total of 156(+12). Ailsa Clark from Navarre, FL would shoot 83-75 to total 158(+14) and is awarded the second place trophy for her display of skill. Third place is awarded to Nicole Polivchak from Sarasota, FL after she would shoot 83-80 for a two day total of 164(+20). This boys division found Canon Clsycomb from Bowling Green, KY atop the leader board after shooting 72-72 for a two day total of 144(E), solidifying his victory. Nicholas Estrada from Lake Worth, FL takes second place after he would shoot 75-74 for a tournament total 149(+5). Third place was awarded to Jonah Leach from Windermere, FL after he shot 75-76 to total 151(+7) for the tournament.

The girls division was a match between two sisters from Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Isabella Galla would shoot 97-95 for a tournament total of 192(+48) to take home the victory. Her sister Alejandra Galla, shot 98-99 to finish five strokes back, taking home runner-up. Congratulations to our 13-14 division champions, we look forward to watching you play in future FCG tour events!

This is the last boys division to be presented in our tournament recap. Brendan Valdes from Orlando, FL is crowned champion after his rounds of 69-72 for a tournament total of 141(-3). Alex Hughes from Dawsonville, GA would shoot 78-81 for a two day total of 159(+15) and is awarded second place. Alex Heard from Boca Raton, FL shot 77-87 to total 164(+20) for the tournament and is awarded the third place trophy for his efforts.

Lastly, we have our youngest girls in the spotlight. First place is awarded to Minny Byun from Bradenton, FL after her rounds of 74-78 for a two day total of 152(+8). Ava Marano from Jupiter, FL would shoot 95-91 and is awarded the second place trophy. Third place went to Christiana Marcellus after she would shoot 98-101 for a two day total of 199(+55). Congratulations to all players in the 12 and Under division, we look forward to having you at the next FCG Tour event!
