The second event being hosted by FCG is the Step Up tour at The Vineyard at Escondido. The course sets up nicely for the players and provides ample opportunity to score and learn how to manage tough tee shots and formidable slopes. The Boys College Prep division is the first to come in and the first to be recognized in our champion spotlight. Jang Gun Kwak from Korea would shoot 68(-2) in a dominating performance to take home the champions award. JJ kim from Chula Vista would shoot 77(+7) on the tricky course after some well played golf and is awarded with the second place award. Third place was given to Chan Hee Park from Korea after he shot 82(+12), a well played round. The Girls College Prep division is the next to have their share of the limelight in our champion spotlight. Congratulations to Calista Reyes from San Diego after she would shoot 74(+4) to take home the First place trophy. Tongtong Wu from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA would shoot 100(+30) and is awarded the second place award. Just behind her is Ashley Kraning from Valley Center, CA who would shoot 112(+42) and is award with a third place finish. Next up in our event recap is the Boys 13-14 division which finds Yu Seung Song from Korea as our champion after he shoot 69(-1). Dae Hyun Jun from Korea would shoot 73(+3) to solidify his second place finish on the demanding course. Eric Zhang from San Diego takes home the third place award after shooting 76(+6). The Girls 14 and under division is next in our champion spotlight. Napua Glossner from San Diego would shoot 78(+8) and is awarded with the first place trophy. Second place would be awarded to Karen Tsuru from Carlsbad, CA after her round of 80(+10). Finally, Serena Chi from San Diego, CA would take home the third place award after just winning out in a card off against Annika Yturralde; both of whom shot 89(+19). Next up in our champion spotlight is the Boys 11-12 division. Jacob Paule from Chula Vista, CA would shoot 75(+5) and takes home the first place trophy. Second place would be awarded to Kevin An from Riverside, CA after his round of 78(+8). Lastly, Philippe Yturralde from La Mesa, CA would shoot 87(+17) and would win in a card off against Alexis Abalos to take home the third place award. The final division to be recognized is the Boys 10 and under division. William Ma from San Diego, CA would shoot 74(+4) and takes home the champions first place award. Second place goes to Logan Kim from Los Angeles after his round of 79(+9) on the demanding course. Finally, Colin Li from San Diego wraps up the event recap after shooting 88(+18) to take the third place trophy.
