2014 FCG International Junior Golf Championship

Today I would like to talk about the 2014 FCG International Junior Golf Championship that will be played July 7-11, 2014 at various courses throughout San Diego, CA. I developed this event back in 2008 with a purpose of creating an opportunity for players traveling to San Diego to play an event as a warm up to the Callaway Junior World. Basically the event was to help players acclimate to the areas courses and get the kinks out before the main event. In addition I wanted to create an opportunity for those that did not qualify for Callaway Junior World an opportunity to play in a similar event.

The event has become a huge hit and is so much more now as an established event. Entering our 7th year hosting the Championship we aim to provide up to 800 players ages 4-18 the opportunity to compete on the World Stage with players who share their passion for playing competitive golf. We are very proud to have an impressive list of past champions including Tianlang Guan, Moriya Jutanugarn, Ariya Jutanugarn, Wo Cheng Ye, Todd Baek, and so many more.

In 2013 we had to change the name of the event from the annual San Diego Junior Masters. We really like the new name FCG International Junior Golf Championship as it better represents what kind of an event it is. Last year we had 624 junior golfers from over 32 countries compete in the Championship. To read more about why we changed the name please click here.

We hope you find the FCG International Junior Golf Championships to be an opportunity to play in a massive event without needing to qualify or jump through hoops to enter. Simply register on our website and we will see you in July!
