4.5.18: National Tour LA County Classic

Future Champions Golf headed back down to LA over the weekend to host our National Tour event at Diamond Bar Golf Club. This gives players a chance to play at the home course for UCLA Mens and Womens Golf program. In addition, all Top 2 finishers in each age division will receive an exception into the FCG Callaway World Championship. This event will also include regular season points in which will add in for 2018 Player of the Year for the National Tour series. With summer right around the corner players in LA brought out the heat which lead to lots of birdies and low scores.

Starting in the Boys 10 & Under division, taking home 1st place from San Gabriel, CA is Keita Yobilco carding a 2-day total of +18 over par (83,81)

With the Girls 13-14 division, leading the way is Skylar Hughes from Ladera Ranch shooting a total round of +20 over par (86,80) will find her way into the winners circle and also a trip to Mission Hills!

Going back to the Boys with the 11-12 division, from Ladera Ranch, CA shooting a total of +21 over par (85,82) is Ridge Hughes taking home the 1st place trophy.

With our Girls 12 & under division taking home 1st place is Koa Seymour from Valley Village, CA with a round of 14+ over par (81,79).

With the Boys 13-14 division coming in 3rd  place from Valley Village, CA carding a round of +21 over par (84,83). Myungho Lee from Murrieta, CA carding +17 over par (83,80). However, also from Murrieta, CA Gyutae Bak won the division carding +4 over par (74,76)

In the Girls College Prep division coming in 3rd place from Murrieta, CA is Daeun Hyun shooting +14 over par (78,82). Aimee Uchida from Torrance, CA came in 2nd place shooting +8 over par (77,77). While Precious Saelee from Walnut, CA is taking home  her 1st place victory shooting a 2-day total of 3+ over par (75,74)

Wrapping up with the Boys College Prep division, coming in 3rd place is Aidan Weinrot shooting +4 over par (72,76) from Los Angeles, CA. From Sherman Oaks, CA coming in 2nd place is Michael Gaven shooting +2 over par (75,71). Taking home the 1st place trophy shooting a solid performance of Even par (72,72) from Woodland Hills, CA is Aaron Pessin.


The winner of each age division this week has qualified for the 2018 FCG Callaway World Championship being held July 16-18, 2018 at 9 Championship Golf Courses in Palm Desert, CA!

*** Space is now limited in the 2018 FCG International Junior Golf Championship with over 400 competitors from around the world.  This is an open event and you can just sign up to play.
