FCG and PJGT Create Partnership for 2018
– Junior tours creating more opportunities! –

Prescott, Ont. (January 12, 2018) – The PLAY Junior Golf Tour (PJGT) and Future Champions Golf (FCG)  are proud to announce a partnership agreement for the 2018 season that will see the PJGT host a qualifying event for the FCG World Callaway Championship at Mission Hills on July 16-18, 2018.  As one of the FCG’s premier events, this gives Canadian junior players the opportunity to compete with players from around the world at the highest level. The relationship further strengthens the belief that all juniors should have the opportunity to compete at the highest level!

“The more opportunities junior golfers have, the better chance we will create life-long golfers, whether competitive or recreational,” said Chris Veltkamp, founder and director of the PLAY Junior Golf Tour.  “It is not about competition between tours or golf courses. It is about all tours and golf facilities cooperating to encourage kids to play golf at their highest level.”

“We are thrilled to work with the PJGT and create opportunities for their members to qualify to compete in what we feel is becoming one of the best events in the world of junior golf.  This year we celebrate our 10th year hosting the event that has grown to over 500 players from 35 countries. Last year a record 22 US college coaches came out to recruit at the event.  We look forward to meeting kids from the PJGT this summer at the FCG Callaway World Championship” Said Chris Smeal, founder of Future Champions Golf.
