Dreams from an FCG Member

Let’s go back to July and August of 2012. The 2012 golf season just ended. In the time span of a month, I played three tournaments in a row, and I played well in all three. This was the year I really started taking golf seriously – meaning going out and playing to win. Even though I was starting to take golf seriously, I didn’t have any dreams, I didn’t have any goals, and I didn’t know what I wanted to achieve. Until I watched the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Over the course of 2 weeks, I watched the the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team win their 3rd consecutive gold medal, I watched Michael Phelps become the greatest Olympian of all time, and I watched Serena Williams defeat Maria Sharapova in Women’s Singles. I watched athletes all over the world giving their all to achieve the ultimate goal – winning a gold medal. I realized that I wanted to do the same , become a professional athlete.

Not just any professional athlete, a successful one. Every night I dream about winning a major championship, modeling for Nike, and becoming the #1 golfer in the world. In order to get there I won’t let anything or anyone stop me. Just like what Michael Phelps said, “The more you dream, the farther you get.” So I’ll keep on dreaming and never stop.
