10th Annual FCG National Championship
Formerly known as San Diego Junior Amateur
Future Champions Golf has quickly built the premier destination junior golf championship in the USA for the Winter Break time frame. Since 2007 FCG has hosted the best opportunity for players from all over USA and the World to compete at various courses in San Diego. This event without doubt is the highest college recruited event of the winter!
For the 10th annual year of this event we will changing the tournament name to the FCG NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP to better reflect the size of the event and where all the players come from. This event has sold out the past 5 years and will roughly feature 700 players ages 5-18 in 2016!

With over 550 players in last year’s field, it is one of the most competitive fields that can be found throughout the year. With competitive fields, come great champions. Past champions of the San Diego Junior Amateur include: Aaron Wise our 2014 Champion just won the 2016 NCAA Men’s National Championship and won a PGA Tour Canada Event as well as qualifying for the 2016 US Open Championship; Chris Williams (Former Walker Cup Member and #1 Ranked Amateur in the World), Todd Baek (Web.com Tour Player), Beau Hossler (Univ. of Texas and Two-Time US Open Participant has now turned Professional) and Jonah Texeira (USC standout and 4th place finisher at the 2016 US Amateur Championship). Karah Sanford has won a record 7 straight FCG National Championships in her age divisions. Along with having one of the most competitive fields of the year, the FCG National Championship is one of the most heavily recruited junior golf events. At last year’s event, there were 30 USA College Coaches represented.

In an effort maintain the highest quality and largest fields that our FCG World Series events have been known for there are few changes to the FCG National Championship this year that you should be aware of:
Week #1
December 19-21: 54-Hole World Ranked Competition for Girls 15-18 on Sycuan Oak Glen (Cut to top 40% and ties after 36-holes)
December 19-20: 36-Hole Competition for Boys 13-14 and Boys 9-10 on Sycuan Willow Glen (Note the NEW COURSE for Boys 9-10)
Week #2
December 28-30, 2016: 54-Hole World Ranked Competition for Boys 15-18 on Sycuan Willow Glen and Steele Canyon Golf Club. (Cut to top 25% and ties after 36-holes)
December 28-29, 2016: 36-Hole Competition for Girls 13-14, Girls 11-12, Boys 11-12 on Sycuan Oak Glen. 36-Hole Competition for Girls 9-10, Boys 8 and Under and Girls 8 and Under on Sycuan Pine Glen
