Seven World Championship Qualifiers Across Mexico, Three Nations Cup, FCG Global Games, and Nationwide CAMPUS College Recruiting Access Highlight Exciting New Chapter for Mexican Junior Golf

SAN DIEGO, CA – October 2026 – Future Champions Golf (FCG) and the Mexican Golf Federation (Federación Mexicana de Golf) are excited to announce a major expansion of their partnership for the 2027 season, creating new opportunities for junior golfers throughout Mexico to compete internationally, represent their country, and pursue college golf opportunities in the United States.
Building on the continued growth and success of Mexican junior golfers at FCG events, the expanded partnership will connect regional competition, international championships, national team opportunities, and college recruiting technology into one comprehensive development pathway.
The collaboration features four major initiatives:
* Seven Official FCG Callaway World Championship Qualifiers – One in each of seven major regions of Mexico, with top finishers earning exemptions into the 2027 championship.
* 2027 Three Nations Cup – Mexico will compete against the United States and Canada in February, looking to defend its title from the inaugural competition.
* 2027 FCG Global Games – Mexico will send a 12-player national team to compete in the inaugural international team championship at Industry Hills Golf Club in Southern California, July 26–29, 2027.
* CAMPUS College Recruiting Partnership – Junior golfers throughout Mexico will have access to free CAMPUS player profiles and exclusive discounts to upgrade to CAMPUS+, helping them connect with college golf coaches in the United States.
A SHARED VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF MEXICAN JUNIOR GOLF
“This is exactly what we envisioned when we started Future Champions Golf — creating opportunities for junior golfers everywhere to dream bigger, compete internationally, and open doors for their futures,” said Chris Smeal, Founder and President of Future Champions Golf.
“Mexico has become an incredibly important part of the FCG global community. The talent, passion, and commitment to junior golf development throughout Mexico are tremendous. We are excited to work even more closely with the Mexican Golf Federation to create a true pathway from local competition to the world stage and ultimately to college golf.”
Eric Aguirre, President of Junior Golf for the Mexican Golf Federation, shared his enthusiasm for the expanded collaboration.
“We are extremely excited to strengthen our partnership with Future Champions Golf as we continue creating more opportunities for young golfers throughout Mexico. Our goal is to give every talented junior golfer a pathway to compete at the highest international levels while also opening doors for their future education.
“With seven qualifying events across Mexico, our goal of bringing 100 players to the 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship, and the opportunity to represent Mexico at the Three Nations Cup and FCG Global Games, we are building something very special.
“The addition of CAMPUS is equally important because it will provide our junior golfers with valuable technology and resources to pursue college golf opportunities in the United States.
“We believe this partnership will have a lasting impact on junior golf in Mexico, and we look forward to an incredible 2027 season.”
SEVEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS ACROSS MEXICO
As part of the expanded partnership, the Mexican Golf Federation will host seven official qualifying tournaments across seven major regions of Mexico, providing junior golfers throughout the country with opportunities to earn exemptions into the prestigious 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship in Southern California.
Top finishers at each qualifying event will earn exemptions into the championship, creating a nationwide competitive pathway for Mexican junior golfers.
At the 2026 FCG Callaway World Championship, a record 76 junior golfers from Mexico competed against an international field of 752 players representing 42 countries.
For 2027, FCG and the Mexican Golf Federation have established an exciting new goal:
100 MEXICAN JUNIOR GOLFERS COMPETING AT THE 2027 FCG CALLAWAY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!
“This is about more than growing participation numbers,” added Smeal. “We want young players in every region of Mexico to see a clear opportunity to qualify for one of the world’s premier junior golf championships. We want to see 100 players proudly representing Mexico at the World Championship in 2027, and we believe this partnership can make that happen.”
MEXICO RETURNS TO THE THREE NATIONS CUP IN FEBRUARY 2027
Mexico will once again compete against the United States and Canada in the second annual FCG Three Nations Cup in February 2027.
The international team competition brings together talented junior golfers from North America’s three nations in an exciting format built around national pride, teamwork, sportsmanship, and elite competition.
Following Mexico’s victory in the inaugural competition, Team Mexico will return with an opportunity to defend its title against strong teams from the United States and Canada.
“The Three Nations Cup has quickly become one of our most exciting international initiatives,” said Smeal. “There is something special about watching young golfers represent their countries and compete together as a team. Mexico’s success in the inaugural event showed just how strong junior golf has become throughout the country, and we cannot wait for the next chapter in February.”
TEAM MEXICO TO COMPETE IN INAUGURAL FCG GLOBAL GAMES
Another major highlight of the partnership will be Mexico’s participation in the inaugural FCG Global Games, July 26–29, 2027, at Industry Hills Golf Club in Southern California.
The Mexican Golf Federation will select and bring a 12-player national team to compete against junior golfers representing countries from around the world.
The FCG Global Games will bring together international teams in a unique championship celebrating competitive excellence, national pride, friendship, and the global growth of junior golf.
“One of the things I am most excited about is seeing these young players walk into an international championship representing their home country,” said Smeal. “The FCG Global Games will be a tremendous experience for the players and their families. Having a strong Team Mexico competing in our inaugural event will make this championship even more special.”
CAMPUS TO PROVIDE COLLEGE GOLF RECRUITING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT MEXICO
Beyond tournament competition, the expanded partnership will provide a major new educational and recruiting opportunity for Mexican junior golfers through CAMPUS, the innovative college recruiting technology platform co-founded by Chris Smeal and Alex Weber.
Through this collaboration, the Mexican Golf Federation will introduce CAMPUS to its junior golf community, providing players throughout Mexico with the opportunity to create a free CAMPUS player profile and access resources designed to help them understand and navigate the college golf recruiting process.
Players will also receive an exclusive discount to upgrade to CAMPUS+, unlocking additional recruiting features and opportunities to connect directly with college golf coaches in the United States.
CAMPUS is designed to help players showcase their golf accomplishments, tournament results, academic information, and video content while exploring college golf programs and building connections with coaches.
“Not every great young golfer has the resources or connections to understand how college recruiting works in the United States,” said Smeal. “We want to change that. Through CAMPUS, we can give players across Mexico a place to start their recruiting journey, build their profiles, learn about their opportunities, and connect with college coaches. This is an important part of our mission because the opportunity to play college golf can truly change a young person’s life.”
Alex Weber, Co-Founder of CAMPUS, added:
“Technology gives us the ability to remove geographic barriers and make the recruiting process more accessible. Our partnership with the Mexican Golf Federation is an exciting example of what CAMPUS was built to accomplish. We want every aspiring college golfer in Mexico to have the tools to tell their story, showcase their abilities, and explore opportunities that may have previously felt out of reach.”
BUILDING A GLOBAL FUTURE TOGETHER
The expanded partnership represents a shared commitment by Future Champions Golf and the Mexican Golf Federation to build a connected development pathway for junior golfers throughout Mexico.
From regional competition and national team selection to international championships and college recruiting, the collaboration is designed to create meaningful opportunities at every stage of a young player’s development.
As Future Champions Golf continues to expand its international tournament network, Mexico remains a cornerstone of its global development strategy.
With seven regional World Championship qualifiers, two major international team competitions, and nationwide access to college recruiting technology, the 2027 partnership marks an exciting new chapter for junior golf throughout Mexico.
“Our mission has always been to create opportunities and help young people reach their potential through golf,” concluded Smeal. “We are not just building tournaments. We are building pathways, relationships, and opportunities that can last a lifetime. We are proud of what we have built with the Mexican Golf Federation, and I believe 2027 will be our most exciting year together yet.”
