FCG Tijuana, Mexico Academy Director: Ricardo Montemayor
Ricardo Montemayor has been an integral part of the Future Champions Golf family for many years, bringing a deep passion for junior golf and a strong commitment to developing young players in Mexico and Southern California.
Based in Tijuana, Ricardo served as the Director of Junior Golf and was instrumental in launching the Baja Pacifico Tournament Series, a junior golf series providing competitive opportunities for young golfers throughout Baja California. He served as the series’ Director for its first six years, helping establish and grow the program into a strong platform for junior golfers across the region. Now, Ricardo remains committed to creating opportunities for young golfers in Mexico to compete, develop their skills, and pursue their goals in the game.
Ricardo’s connection to FCG is also personal. His daughter, Ivanna Montemayor, competed successfully on the FCG Tour and went on to play collegiate golf at Gonzaga University. Her experience as a junior golfer gives Ricardo a unique perspective on the player and family journey, from junior competition through the college recruiting process.
In addition to his work in Mexico, Ricardo is a Tournament Director for the FCG Callaway World Championship, helping FCG deliver one of the premier international junior golf events and welcoming players from around the world.
Ricardo is proud to help expand the FCG experience into Mexico and provide junior golfers in the Tijuana and Baja California region with access to high-quality competition, development opportunities, and a pathway to compete on the international stage.
