1/27: Important Tour Updates for Competitive Junior Golfers – Pathway to Amateur and Professional Golf via FCG Tour

Dear FCG Families,

We wanted to share a few important updates that highlight why Future Champions Golf continues to be one of the most meaningful competitive pathways in junior golf.

We’re excited to announce that both the FCG International Junior Golf Championship and the FCG Callaway World Championship are now officially featured on the “Majors of Junior Golf” schedule on AmateurGolf.com. This recognition places these two championships among the most respected and influential events in the junior golf world — and reinforces what families and college coaches already know: FCG events matter.

Two Major Championships. One Clear Pathway.

FCG International Junior Golf Championship

The largest open event in junior golf, the FCG International annually welcomes 750+ players from more than 40 countries, with 40+ college coaches in attendance. Many past champions and participants have gone on to become PGA Tour and LPGA Tour winners — including major champions.

Elite Exemptions for Top Performers

Both the FCG International and FCG Callaway World Championship now award exemptions for Boys 15–18 and Girls 15–18 champions into the Elite Invitational, placing top performers into even more exclusive competitive fields.

In addition, FCG has secured new championship exemptions into some of the most respected amateur events in the country, including:

We will also be announcing an additional professional tournament exemption for our Boys Champion in the near future — continuing our mission to create real, tangible opportunities beyond junior golf.

Over winter break, the FCG National Championship saw 575 junior golfers compete and we were proud and excited to offer two professional tournament exemptions (1 boy and 1 girl) to important events that can help jump start their careers.  The Boys 15-18 Champion earned a spot into a Swiss PGA Tour event coming up in June where the winner of that event will qualify to play in the DP World Tour’s Omega European Masters.  The Girls Champion earned a spot into an Annika All Pro World Tour Event this Spring!

Why This Matters

If a player is serious about taking their game to the next level — whether that goal is college golf, elite amateur competition, or professional aspirations — where you compete matters.

FCG events provide:

  • Strong international and national fields
  • Meaningful college coach exposure
  • Elite exemptions that open doors
  • A proven history of developing future champions

This isn’t just about tournaments. It’s about creating pathways.

We’re proud of the direction FCG is heading and even more excited about the opportunities now available to our players.

We look forward to seeing you on the course.

Sincerely,

Chris Smeal
