To Get The “Orange Carpet“ Treatment
Future Champions Golf and COBRA PUMA GOLF will be rolling out the “orange carpet” for all players attending the best week in junior golf this year! It all begins on July 16th -18th when some of the best collegiate and amateur players from across the country will compete in the COBRA PUMA Collegiate Championship on the TPC Stadium Course at PGA West. This three day event is open to golfers aged 16-23 and gives junior golfers the opportunity to size up their games against collegiate and amateur players on one of the top courses in the country.
The fun will continue on July 19th with the COBRA PUMA Parent/Junior Championship on the Greg Norman Course at PGA West. This is a great opportunity to play a fun round with a parent before the tournament rounds begin and also a chance for players and parents to win some great prizes. Opportunities to win prizes include:
- Team low score
- Best dressed team
- Closest to the pin on all par-3’s
On July 20th from 4pm-6pm, FCG and COBRA PUMA will be hosting the official World Championship check-in party at the La Quinta Resort ballroom. This event allows for players to pick up their tee prizes, which will include COBRA PUMA hats and belts this year.
The official FCG COBRA PUMA World Championship will be held on July 21st-23rd on three separate PGA West courses (TPC Stadium, Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman). The field size this year is expected to be 250 junior golfers from all over the world. All players will be allowed to have a caddy and will receive carts for the duration of the tournament.
Additional Special Events:
Monday July 21st (4:30pm-5:30pm): Ted Gleason, former coach of the USC Men’s Golf Team will be giving a seminar on the “Road to College Golf.”
Tuesday July 22nd (6pm-8pm): Lumpy’s golf store will be hosting a shopping experience for all players in attendance. There will pizza and contests for players to participate in and discounts on selected COBRA PUMA GOLF apparel and equipment that players can take advantage of. There will also be a special appearance by Blair O’neal, COBRA PUMA brand ambassador and winner of the Big Break. O’Neal will be at the Lumpy’s event and the awards ceremony.
