This past weekend the FCG Tour headed just north of San Diego, to the city of San Clemente! The San Clemente Municipal Golf Club is a scenic, family friendly championship 18-hole golf course where Fridays are still weekdays, walkers are still welcome and juniors are always ½ price. Owned and operated by the City of San Clemente, the course is located approximately one mile from the Pacific Ocean and features ocean views from a number of holes. Named “Best Value in Orange County” in 2008, the rolling hills and relaxed atmosphere of the “Muni” have remained popular with local golfers for over seventy five years. Top finishers in this event also earn an exemption into the 2018 FCG Callaway World Championship this July in Rancho Mirage, CA. Now let’s get into some results…
For the Girl’s college prep division, who played the gold tees, we had Chloe Carraway from Tustin, CA come in first with scores of 74 & 79 for a total 153, coming in second place was Khameryn Utu from Westminster, CA with scores of 78 & 76 for a total 154 and coming in third place was Gabby Minier from Goleta, CA with scores of 79 & 78 for a total 157.
For the Boys college prep, who played the blue tees, we had Justin Biwer from San Diego, CA come in first with scores of 75 & 67 for a total 142, coming in second place was Timothy Jung from Irvine, CA with scores of 77 & 70 for a total 147 and coming in third place was Caden McMackin from Laguna Beach, CA with scores of 75 & 77 for a total 152.
For the Girls 13-14, who played the gold tees, we had lone soldier April Liu from Aliso Viejo, CA shoot 91 & 89 for a total of 180 for her trophy!
For the Girls 12 &under division, who played the gold tees, we had lone soldier Jaylen Wan from Pukalani, HI shoot 94 & 104 for a total 198 for her trophy! Pictured with her is Boys 10-Under division champ, who played the gold tees, we had Javen Troy Equipilag from Chula Vista, CA come in first with scores of 108 & 107 for a total 215 for his trophy!
For the Boys 11-12 Division, who played the gold tees at a par 73, we had Nolan Kuszyk from La Canada Flintridge, CA come in first with scores of 78 & 72 for a total 150, coming in second place was Ethan Craft from Dana Point, CA with scores of 104 & 99 for a total 203 and coming in third place was Caden Raines from Ventura, CA with scores of 104 & 101 for a total 205. Pictured with them is the Boys 13-14 division, who played the gold tees at a par 73, we had Bradley Firtel from Beverly Hills, CA shoot 85 & 84 for a total of 169 for his trophy!
