FCG COSTA RICA

Future Champions Golf (FCG), one of the world’s leading junior golf tournament organizations, is excited to announce a new international partnership with the Costa Rica Golf Federation (Federación de Golf de Costa Rica), establishing a four-event qualifying series for the prestigious

2027 FCG Callaway World Junior Golf Championship.

The new series will take place from January through April 2027, giving junior golfers throughout Costa Rica the opportunity to compete for coveted invitations to one of the world’s premier international junior golf championships.

Through the four-event series, the top two players in each age division will earn qualifying spots in the 2027 FCG Callaway World Championship, bringing an exciting new competitive pathway to Costa Rica’s growing junior golf community.

Four Events. One Incredible Opportunity.

The new Costa Rica qualifying series will feature four tournaments between January and April 2027, creating a season-long opportunity for junior golfers to pursue qualification for the FCG Callaway World Championship.

The series is designed to encourage competitive development, reward outstanding performances, and provide a direct connection between junior golf in Costa Rica and major international competition.

Additional information regarding tournament dates, venues, age divisions, and registration will be announced by the Costa Rica Golf Federation.

Beyond Competition: Introducing Campus College Recruiting Technology

The partnership extends far beyond tournament competition.

As part of the agreement, the Costa Rica Golf Federation will adopt Campus, an innovative college golf recruiting technology platform designed to help junior golfers build their profiles, gain exposure, research colleges, and connect with college coaches throughout the United States.

Through Campus, Costa Rican junior golfers will have access to tools designed to help them navigate the college recruiting process, including:

  • Player Profiles: Showcase golf achievements, tournament results, academic information, and swing videos.
  • College Discovery: Explore U.S. colleges and universities and learn about their golf programs.
  • Recruiting Connections: Create opportunities to connect directly with U.S. college golf coaches.
  • College Recruiting Education: Better understand the recruiting process and the steps required to pursue college golf.
  • Long-Term Development: Build a digital recruiting presence that grows alongside each player’s competitive career.

“One of the most exciting parts of this partnership is the opportunity to help Costa Rican players beyond the golf course,” added Smeal. “We want every young golfer to understand the opportunities that exist through the game, especially the possibility of earning a college education while continuing to compete. By introducing Campus to the federation’s players, we can help more families discover the incredible college golf opportunities available in the United States.”

2027 is here

Building a More Connected Global Junior Golf Community

The partnership with Costa Rica continues an exciting period of international expansion for Future Champions Golf.

Through new relationships with national golf federations, junior golf tours, academies, and tournament organizations, FCG is developing a worldwide network of qualifying events and player development opportunities.

These relationships are designed to make international competition more accessible while strengthening the connection between junior golf, higher education, and the next generation of competitive golfers.

For Costa Rican junior golfers, the new partnership represents an opportunity to compete internationally, represent their country, pursue college golf, and become part of a worldwide community united by the game.
