I am so excited about the development of the FCG Cobra Puma World Championship Golf Tournament that is now annually held at the Western Home of Golf in America – PGA West. The event annually takes place the week following the Callaway Junior World and is open on a first come first serve basis. We wanted to create an event that brought everyone to the same facility multiple times throughout the event while also playing one of the World’s premier and most well-known courses. Rich in history, PGA West has been host to PGA and LPGA Tour players for years and the game’s all-time greats have played here. This year we are pleased to team up with Cobra Puma Golf to enhance the families experience and add a whole new level of excitement to the event. This event is more than just a tournament and we want you to be aware of all the special activities we have lined up to create an amazing experience:
- Players will compete on either the PGA West Stadium Course, PGA West Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course, or the Greg Norman Signature Course
- Players will be allowed to have a cart and a caddy and players are encouraged to use a family member. This is a unique opportunity to share your passion with your parents and loved ones!
- Parent- Junior Championship will be held at the Greg Norman Course on Saturday July 19th
- Cobra Puma Golf will help us host the amazing Annual Welcome Party at the La Quinta Resort
- Tee Gifts for all players will be provided by Cobra Puma Golf
- Collegiate Golf Seminar by Ted Gleason – Former Men’s Head Golf Coach for USC
- Lumpy’s Shopping Experience, Contests, and Discounts
What I really like about this event is the amazing job the PGA West staff does to help us host the event. To think that we will tee off 300 junior golfers all at 7:30am each day with a shotgun start at each course and have everyone in the clubhouse by 12pm is a sight to see! The pace of play at last year’s final round was at 4 hours or better!
