FCG Kids Tour Fall Series- St. Mark

Future Champions Golf tour hosted another Kids Tour Fall Series event at St. Mark Golf Club in San Marcos. Players signed up to play the executive course and luckily the tournament got underway just in time in order to avoid some inclement weather.

The boys 11-14 year old age division had three players register for the event and the competition was underway. Jacob Zhan came out on top shooting a (+6) 64 for 18 holes which included a birdie on the 14th. Nicholas Chavarin and Yihao Liu wound up being separated by only two strokes with Nicholas coming in second and Yihao taking home third.

The girls 11-14 year old age division had six players sign up and were all ready to go on Saturday morning. The competition was pretty fierce all day long as the top three players were only separated by two strokes. Meghan Royal found herself on the top spot after the day was over carding a 69 in the process. Chloe Griffith had herself a birdie on the 17th to pull closer to the lead but a bogey on the final hole left her just one stroke behind the leader. Sofina Firouzi had herself a wonderful birdie on the last hole en route to placing third for the tournament.

The boys 9-10 year old division had seven players enter the field and the golf was great to watch all day. Andrew Rodriguez played a magnificent round shooting four birdies on the back nine in order to claim the top spot with a (+1) round of 59. Thomas Browining found himself three birdies on the day en route to shooting a (+7) 65 and a second place trophy. Ace Pasqual found two birdies on the back nine and shot a (+9) 67 and took home a solid third place finish.

The girls 9-10 year old division had 10 players register for the event and it looked like everybody was excited to get the tournament underway. Nobody seemed to be more excited than Sky Pascual who carded two birdies on the front nine en route to a (+4) 62 and a first place finish. Sarah Zhao had herself a birdie on the front nine and came home with a (+9) 67 and a solid second place finish. Danica Williams has been working hard on her game and a birdie on the card and third place lets her know that her hard work is paying off.

The boys 7-8 year old division had five players sign up for the event and boy was it fun to watch these kids play. Connor Szczechowicz had himself two birdies on the day en route to shooting a solid 31 for nine hole and take home first place honors. Trenton Bascon had himself a par on the 6th hole and took home second place honors for the day. Sage Brandon also found a par on the 6th hole and was able to come in third place for the event.

The girls 7-8 year old division had two representatives come out and try to dominate the par 3 course. Emma Molina and Charlotte Wilkins battled each other all day in what was an epic battle for first. Emma Molina found the bottom of the cup a couple of more times than Charlotte and took home first place for the event. Charlotte took home a solid second place finish.

The boys 6 and under age division had a sole representative for the event. Ryan Avalos battled the elements all day and came in shooting some great shot down the stretch and took home first place honors for the event.

The girls 6 and under age division had a sole representative as well for the weekend. Taj Brandon had herself a par on the 8th hole of competition en route to her solid first place finish for the tournament.
