FCG Memorial Day Championship Preview

  • by

Over the years the FCG Memorial Day Championship, hosted at the prestigious Greg Norman Course at PGA West, has proven to consistently have both large and competitive fields, which is why in 2014 the FCG team decided that it had earned a spot on the FCG World Series schedule. It will now be part of one of the greatest series in junior golf, with top finishers earning points towards the World Series Player of the Year race.

The Greg Norman course is home to many great events, one being The Prestige. A major collegiate golf event, with some of the top ranked teams in the country competing. This year the Greg Norman course at PGA West will also be the host course for all 12 & Under divisions at the FCG COBRA PUMA World Championship in July.

The FCG Memorial Day Championship is a great event for both players and parents. There are many attractions for families in the La Quinta, Palm Springs and Palm Desert area, which makes for a great weekend vacation. For players, they will be able to play one of the best courses in the Coachella Valley and all players will be receiving carts for the duration of their tournament rounds.

This year the field is bigger and better than ever! We have a total of 94 players in the field, representing four states and seven countries. View the full field here: http://fcg.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/fcg14/event/fcg145/contest/4/leaderboard.htm
