Future Champions Golf held a total of three events this weekend, the second of which was held at Twin Oaks Golf Course in beautiful San Marcos. The short but demanding course provides an excellent challenge for players by requiring accurate tee shots and short irons or wedge shots. Aggressive play is sometimes punished, while playing too safely will not create enough opportunities to score. Without further delay, let us begin the tournament recap.
The Boys college prep division was the first division to make it in for scoring. Sanil Gandhi from San Diego, CA shot an incredible 73(+1) on the tough course and took home the first place award. Second place was awarded to Ryan Bao from Carlsbad, CA after he shot 78(+6) for the tournament. Connor Baumann from Temecula, CA shot 90(+18) and took home the third place award.
The Girls College Prep division follows the boys in to the scoring table. Claire O’Connor from Lake Elsinore, CA took home the championship award after shooting 91(+19) for the round. The second place award goes to Rhea Gandhi from San Diego, CA after she shot 105(+33) on the tough course.

Future Champions Golf would like to extend thanks to all staff, volunteers, players, and of course, the parents. Without all of you, FCG would not be able to provide the competitive and exciting atmosphere that we have all come to enjoy at events of this magnitude. Future Champions Golf would also like to recognize Twin Oaks Golf Course for all their assistance and allowing us to host our event at their facility. Finally, we would like to offer a special thank you to Callaway Golf for providing one sleeve of Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls as a tee prize to all competitors.
