FCG Kids Tour Parent-Junior Championship

  • by

With the fall season coming to a close, Future Champions Golf hosted the Kids Tour Parent Junior Championship scramble at Colina Park. Beautiful weather and many well placed golf shots would allow for some very low scores. The tournament is set up in a scramble fashion, meaning each player hits a shot, then the best shot is selected and both players play from that position. One caveat stipulated per our rules demanded that each parent-junior group would use the juniors tee shot at least three times on each 9. Without further ado let’s get to the champion spotlight.

1

Beginning with the Girls, we find Cammin Sykeo from San Diego who should a staggering (-11). Cammin is known to be quite the golfer, but she likely had just enough help to drive a low number even lower. Second place goes to Isabella Itkin from La Jolla who shot 47(-7) with her father providing assistance with solid tee shots and putts. Lastly for the girls champion spotlight is Emma Molina from La Mesa who would shoot 51(-3) with her father to solidify her 3rd place finish. Congratulations to all parents and juniors participating in this event. We had a wonderful time at the event and hope that you did too.

Next up in the spotlight is the boys division. Evan Liu from La Jolla would take home the big trophy after shooting 46(-8) with his dad playing side by side. Coming in second place after a solid round of 48(-6) is Jared Vlchek from Chula Vista. Kenneth Zhang from San Diego would take the 3rd place trophy home after he and his dad would win the card off against Colin Li with a birdie on the 18th hole. Congratulations to all juniors and parents who participated in the event, we hope to see you at the next kids tour event.

Future Champions golf would like to thank all staff, volunteers and of course Pro Kids at Colina Park for allowing us to use the facility for our event. We would also like to recognize all of the parents and guardians for their hard work and dedication. Without all of you, Future Champions Golf would not be the driving force that it is today. We hope to see all of you at the next kids tour event.
