  • by

Future Champions Golf hosted a National Tour Event at The Legends Golf Club in Temecula over the weekend. This short yet sloped course provided just the challenge we were trying to create for the field. The winds certainly seemed to be firing on all cylinders as the players made the turn, but regardless many good scores were turned in. Without any more delay, let’s get to our champion spotlight.

First up is our boys 10 and under division. Coming in first place after a solid round of 80(+8) is Kent Karlstrom from Menifee. Second place would be awarded to Samuel Amarosa from Temecula after his round of 90(+18). Congratulations to all players in our boys 10 and under division, we look forward to having you at the next event.

Next in the spotlight is our boys 11-12 division. First place would go to You Seong Choi from Rowland Heights after his round of 73(+1) and more importantly his victory in the sudden death playoff. Kyle An from Riverside would lose in the playoff, but any day that you shoot 73(+1) to take second place is a good day. Third place would be awarded to Justin Dang from Anaheim who shot 75(+3). Congratulations to all players in our boys 11-12 division, we look forward to having you at the next National Tour event.

Louis Techahongsa from San Diego would represent the boys 13-14 division and take home the first place award! Congratulations, we look forward to having you at our next event.

The boys college prep division would be the next as Ethan Bozner from Henderson Nevada would take home the first place award. Congratulations to all finishers in the division, we hope to see you at the next National Tour Series event.

Next to finish and earn themselves some time in our champion spotlight is the girls College Prep Division. Though the conditions seemed tougher to many players during the second round, Kornkamol Sukaree of Anaheim thrived in the conditions, firing in 73-70 for a two day total of 143(-1) and taking home the victory and her own personal Arccos GPS Stat Tracking system. Serena Sepersky from Temecula would shoot 71-78 to take home the second place award after a two day total of 149(+5). Third place would go to Victoria Estrada, all the way from Henderson, NV, who would shoot 73-78 for a two day total of 151(+7) and go on to win the card off. Though Alexa Melton from Covina would lose the card off, her tournament total of 151 after shooting 73-78 kept her in contention and award her fourth place. Congratulation to all finishers in our Girls College Prep Division, we hope to see you at the next event.

Last to be entered before the rain came down was our Girls 13-14 division. Hotly contested throughout, but Lauren Gomez from San Diego would be the victor at the end of the day after shooting 77-73 for a two day total of 150(+6).
