Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships

Future Champions Golf is thrilled to announce a new affiliate tournament to be included in the FCG World Series Tournament Platform. The Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships in Quincy, Illinois, scheduled June 20-22, 2016, annually attracts hundreds of junior golfers worldwide ages 3-18. This year will make the 43rd year hosting this event and we are excited to be a part of the event. As a FCG World Series affiliate event, the Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships will have ranking points for the 2016 FCG World Series Season Long Player of the Year race. In addition the Boys and Girls 16-18 age Division Champions will qualify for the 2017 FCG National Championship. More details about the alliance will be available shortly. FCG and Pepsi Little People’s both strive to provide a competitive environment focused on an opportunity for families to unite and come together to compete in a fun environment. “I am thrilled for FCG to be a part of one of the longest running junior golf tournaments worldwide, and the opportunity to work with the Founder Nan Ryan, who shares the same beliefs in junior golf, is a true honor” – Chris Smeal, Founder of Future Champions Golf. “Becoming affiliated with Future Champions Golf Tour is especially gratifying to Little People’s, and we look forward to a close relationship with them. The Mission of the Little People’s Golf Championships Association (LPGCA) is to provide a positive competitive environment for junior golfers ages 3 through 18 through the Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships, and to assist in the growth and development of every young man or woman who seeks quality competition and/or a college scholarship through golf. By dedicating itself to this purpose, the Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships has built a reputation as one of the largest junior tournaments, and is the longest continuously running golf tournament in the World for golfers aged 3 through 5.Since its inception in 1974, the LPGCA has pursued this mission through the Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships, scheduled the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday following Father’s Day each June. With the addition of one separate and optional event, the Parent-Child on Sunday preceding the tournament, the LPGCA has created Little People’s Golf Week to provide even more quality competition among junior golfers. Pepsi Little People’s in included in the AJGA Performance Based Entry system for boys/girls in the 14-18 and 12-13 age divisions. Pepsi Little People’s is a qualifier for the IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championships; it is a ranked tournament for the Junior Golf Scoreboard and GolfWeek/Sagarin Junior Rankings.
