Future Champions Golf has quickly built the premier destination junior golf championship in the USA for the Winter Break time frame. Since 2008 FCG has hosted the San Diego Junior Amateur as an opportunity for players from all over USA and the World to compete at various courses in San Diego. Many have called the event a “Mini-Junior World” and the past champions and opportunities this event presents its players is just awesome.

With over 550 players in the field at the 8th Annual San Diego Junior Amateur, it is one of the most competitive fields that can be found throughout the year. With competitive fields, come great champions. Past champions of the San Diego Junior Amateur include: Chris Williams (Former Walker Cup Member and #1 Ranked Amateur in the World), Todd Baek (Web.com Tour Player), Beau Hossler (Univ. of Texas and TwoTime US Open Participant) and Jonah Texeira (USC commit). Along with having one of the most competitive fields of the year, the San Diego Junior Amateur is one of the most heavily recruited junior golf events. At last year’s event, there were coaches from 25 different USA Colleges represented.

In an effort maintain the highest quality and largest fields that our FCG World Series events have been known for, there are few changes to the San Diego Junior Amateur this year that you should be aware of:
- Girls 13-14 & 15-18 divisions play on January 2nd-3rd at Sycuan Golf Resort Oak Glen
- Boys 13-14 division will play Jan 2nd-3rd at Riverwalk Golf Club (Mission/ Friars)
- Boys 15-18 division will play Dec 28th-30th at Steele Canyon and Sycuan Willow Glen
- Boys & Girls 11-12 divisions will play Dec 28th-29th at Sycuan Oak Glen
- Boys 9-10 , Girls 9-10, Boys 8 and Under and Girls 8 and Under will play
Dec 28th-29th at Sycuan Golf Resort Pine Glen

- Winner from each division qualifies for the 2016 IMG Junior World Championship
- Qualifier for the FCG World Championship that will feature a new format for 2015
- 1st points event for the 2016 FCG World Series Player of the Year race
