On September 16 at 9 PM on The CW, viewers across the country will witness something far more meaningful than a cross‑country television series. The Great American Road Rally, filmed from Chicago to Santa Monica, is a celebration of compassion in motion, captured mile by mile, city by city, story by story.
For ten days, a group of celebrities and public figures didn’t just lend their names to Friends of Jaclyn Foundation — they lent their hearts. They showed up with humility, humor, courage, and sincerity. They leaned in. They listened. They embraced families whose children are fighting the toughest battles life can offer. And in doing so, they demonstrated that actions truly do speak louder than words.
Comedian Tammy Pescatelli brought her trademark warmth and quick wit, creating instant connection with every child and parent she met. Sam Jones, known worldwide as Flash Gordon, carried a heroic presence that felt grounded and deeply human. Butch Patrick, forever remembered as Eddie Munster, offered a gentle steadiness that families felt immediately. Together, this group helped facilitate 12 adoptions in 10 cities in 10 days, each one a life‑changing moment for a child battling cancer. These weren’t staged events. Among the most powerful voices on this journey was rising NASCAR star Jesse Love. Already a champion across multiple levels of racing, Jesse will take the wheel of the iconic Wood Brothers Racing No. 21 Ford Mustang beginning in 2027. But long before national headlines followed him, Jesse adopted a child through Friends of Jaclyn. He showed up with humility, compassion, and a heart far bigger than his age.
During the Road Rally, Jesse once again embraced the mission — participating in an adoption that will be featured in the Chicago premiere episode. He didn’t do it because cameras were rolling. Her journey sparked a mission that has now supported over 1,300 children across Division I, Division II, Division III, high school, junior college, semi‑pro, professional sports, and NASCAR.
But statistics don’t tell the story. People do.
And this month, the story is about individuals — comedians, actors, innovators, and a rising NASCAR star — who didn’t just talk about making a difference. They made one.
