Future Champions headed back to Carlsbad for our 3rd Annual So Cal Championship at La Costa which hosted 90 players. Pristine course conditions lead to great scoring both days. Congrats to Crista Izuzquiza from Coronado, CA who had a hole in one on hole 11 on the first day. All winners received a Callaway Rogue hybrid. Also all Top 2 finishers from each event earn an exception into the 2019 Callaway World Championship in July at Mission Hills.
Starting with our Girls 15-18 division, coming in 5th place is Alexa Udom (79,76) and in 4th place is Aimee Uchida (75,77) from Torrance, CA, in 3rd place is Stephanie Heimler from San Diego, CA (76,72) and in 2nd place is Crista Izuzquiza (70,75) from Coronado, CA. Winning the division is Angela Heo from Tustin, CA carding rounds of 72,69.
The Boys 15-18 division was a close match up coming down to the final holes and resulted in a 10 hole play off, a new FCG record, in 5th place from Rancho Santa Fe, CA is Raymond Li (77,70). Coming in 4th place from Escondido, CA is Connor Willams (74,71). Coming in 3rd place from Anaheim, CA is Chanachon Chokprajakchat (72, 72) and in 2nd place from Carlsbad, CA carding rounds of 74,68 is Dylan Oyama. Winning the division from Newport Beach, CA shooting 71,71 is Colin Huang.
In the Boys 13-14 division James Whitworth came in 5th place carding rounds of 83,70. While in 4th from Chula Vista, CA Antonio Barbosa carded rounds of 74,78. Coming in 3rd place from Placentia, CA Kyle Kolodziej shot rounds of 74,77. Coming in 2nd place from Coronado, CA is Easton Phillips carding rounds of 75,74. Winning the division from San Diego, CA is Willam Ma with a solid performance of 75,70.
